Theater and Screen

Current Screenwork: Madhura recently completed currently shooting for a webseries, screening on prime and tubi. She completed a religional Punjabi Feature Film as a Lead actoress. She completed couple of Marathi films this year. One is on its way to release, where she acted with Sandeep Kulkarni, Arun Nalawade and Bharat Ganeshpure to name a few. The other one was the most talked about "Bucket List" where she is seen along side with Madhuri Dixit is a small cameo but effective role. Last year she completed a hydrabadi feature film, which will be released in 2018. She is currently also shooting for some ad films and other photoshoots. She recently completed a short film "5ketches" with Sandeep Kulkarni, directed by Rajas Paranjpe and produced by 2EC Productions, see the link for trailer on the left.

Current Theater: Song of the lost rive, a bio pic on Gulab bai, a theatrical production with Dr. Atamjit Singh is in current works, where Madhura plays “The nautanki queen’. She recently acted in punjabi theater where she played two roles, one of a 13 year old and one of a transgender. Madhura was the lead cast in the revival play “Ashwamedh” by Basement theater of Chicago. Madhura completed her work on a contemprory play based on yellow journalism "Supari.com". She completed a popular Marathi play last year which was a renowned play of its times "Koni tari ahe tithe". Earlier last year she choreographed and danced in an epic story musical based on santa gnyashwar called "Mauli" which was stagd at the BMM 2017. Some of her work includes a marathi musical drama "Padlyaver Premat", which was staged for the BMM convention Los Angeles 2015, a hindi play commemorating the 100th death anniversary of Premchand in "Shatranj ke Khiladi", for which she also performed Kathak Thumri in 2015, two plays in hindi by Dramatech of America. Madhura also played the lead role in a multi ethnic Urdu play which was critically acclaimed for her performance in is currently involved with another hindi play based of the film "Umraojaan". 

Previous Experience: Madhura has been doing theater since the age of six. She was born with this passion which reflects in her dance performances as well. From kindergarten years, she performed in english plays like Akbar Birbal and later was professionally trained under "Avishkaar" which was run by Sulabha Deshpande under the guidance of Ramnath Tharwal. She performed in numerous plays through Avishkaar, Balbhavan in marathi theater. Later she was at Prithvi theaters for seven plus years where she personally worked with Sanjana Kapoor in hindi theater. She has performed numerous times on television for "Kilbil", "Shalay Chitravani" programs. She did couple of cameo roles in films. One of those was in Sai Paranjpe's film "Saaz" where she portrayed the role of a dancer. She continued marathi and hindi theater throughout and has performed in various professional plays which were running continuously for couple of years. 

She represented the state of Maharashtra (India) as the children's jury member for the International Film Festival in Delhi (India). She also did couple of corporate advertisements for ICICI Lombard in India. Madhura did couple of short films in 2015, out of which one was sent to the film festival.
